Training

At The Chabad House, we take a unique approach to Bar/Bat Mitzvah training, regardless of where the celebration and service will be taking place.

Hebrew School Lessons: Jewish education begins from the moment a child enters the world. Preparing for the incredible milestone of becoming a Mitzvah-responsible Jewish adult takes time, and Hebrew School aims to pack in as much knowledge and fun hands-on experience as possible.

Bat Mitzvah Club: Girls from across the greater San Jose gather to learn about Bat Mitzvah and take ownership of their power as the Jewish women of tomorrow. With crafts and projects, there's so much to gain in BMC.

Private Tutoring: Study one on one with Rabbi Mendel or Mussi to gain all of the tools needed for your special day and beyond. Our emphasis in preparing for Bar/Bat Mitzvah is to foster an awareness that this milestone is only the beginning of Jewish life and encourage Jewish pride and joy. The Bar and Bat Mitzvah focus on learning about their special day and preparing a speech full of Torah values.

Celebration at Chabad: Celebrate this one in a lifetime milestone with a Bang! at Chabad. Contact Mussi to find out more about availability, recommended caterers and other services. We look forward to celebrating your special day together!

Torah Reading Training: The most important event in the life of a young man should be more than just rote memorization leading up to an anxiety-ridden recital of the Torah. Boys learn their Torah portion with Rabbi Mendel with the help of a recorded sound track for their very first Aliyah, ensuring a confidence as they approach their special day.
